Rajasthan Fairs and Festivals

Fair and festivals are really true part of Rajasthan which imbibes all the beauty and does not need any explanatory for its vibrant, exotic celebrations. These festivals perpetually reflect the genius of their values and the austere enhancement and which has various colors of joy. In Rajasthan the people rejoice and celebrate every fair and festival where they assemble together share the happiness and sadness. As the place is referred as Desert Jewel of India where one can see and enjoy the camel festivals where the sand sparkles during colorful fairs and festivals.

Camel Festival, is an important festival in Bikaner and blissful get celebrated in the month of January. This camel festival comes alive with music and dance during the famed where the local people bring their camels and indulge in wonderful fairs and due to its wonderful and colorful celebration the festival has gained huge and immense popularity among the visitors.

Elephant Festival of Jaipur is celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Holi in the month of March where one can see various several elephant sports and feel the festive richness of the land.

Marwar festival is celebrated to welcome Spring Season which is local folk performers, musician and artisans comes and perform and make the whole celebration amazing. In addition, these festivals are mainly celebrated by women.

Moreover apart from this, there are other festivals which people celebrated is Kota Dussehra, which is celebrated on the occasion of victory of good over evil where the effigies of the demons Ravana, Kumbhakarana and Meghnath are burnt.

There is one more festival called Desert festival which is organized in Jaisalmer, which is celebrated in the month of January. In this festival one can enjoy camel ride and see the celebrations of folk dance and music.

In Rajasthan there is religious and family festival like Teej, Ganesh pooja and diwali celebrations. In these festivals the people dressed up in colorful cloths and celebrate the festivals. Moreover, in Rajasthan there are festivals in every change of season be it spring, harvest or any other season.
